Ryan : Where do I begin... we LOVE basil. I think the fact that it's seasonal adds to the excitement when it starts coming in strong. We literally find a way to put it in almost everything we make! Second on my list would be Rosemary. I put it in mashed potatoes (any types of potatoes actually) and on most meats and stuff. Smells awesome!
I could really go on and on about my herb obsession. We often just hit up Google to find new ways to use our herbs, and I've been really surprised my some of the results.
Have fun with them!

BeckyThompson : Plant the mint in a container or it will over take your herb garden.
Chives, spicy basil, parsley, thyme and tarragon are favorites of mine as well as the ones you have listed.

Luke : Heather - all you do is add a cup of sugar to a cup of water and put it on the stove until the sugar dissolves. It's so simple! Then just add a few chopped mint leaves while cooking it - perfect!

Heather Z : Yes you have to get some rosemary! Ours lasted through the winter, so it's pretty hardy. I love to make Emeril's rosemary potatoes. How do you make the mi t simple syrup? May 21, 2013 at 1:55PM
rp : Definitely Rosemary! It often grows really well just planted in a bed. Only, don't plant it in the backyard if your dog is taller than the rosemary bushes. You really don't want to know how I know this.
