Hi there! We're Luke and Cat, and we're so happy you're here. We hope you'll stay a while! We’re a husband and wife wedding photographer team based in Houston, Texas. Ranchers-turned-photographers, our world looks like this: a Craftsman-style farmhouse; our newborn, Knox, in our arms; coffee in the kitchen; Edison lights on the back porch; and a pair of English bulldogs at the foot of our bed. Holly and Todd's Wedding

Jun 12, 2012 / Weddings

What a great couple these two are! To say we've had a blast with their crew is an understatement!

Holly and Todd have an amazing set of friends and family and we were really excited coming into their wedding day!

We first met Holly a while ago now, when she was the makeup artist at a wedding we shot at Agave Road. When we started chatting it up with her, we were surprised to learn that she was from the same 'stomping ground' as us. Fast forward to present day and Holly is one of our favorite collaborators. She always does the hair/makeup for any of our mentoring sessions, and she is our go-to person to recommend to people. Just talking about it makes me want to get my makeup done by her!

Now, enough backstory! Lets see their day!

I should mention that Flowerbomb is the perfume of choice for me, too! Excellent idea, Holly!

Can we talk about how cute this lovely little flowergirl is?! Not only is she beautiful, but she is brilliantly smart, witty (yes, a witty 3 year old does exist), and well-behaved. How adorable is she carrying her dress to go down the stairs? I want to clone her.

Happy Happy!!!

That long veil caught some wind as Holly and Todd stepped out of the chapel right after saying "I Do!"

And off to the amazing reception we go! Holly and Todd had some of the (pause for effect) most outstanding rustic wedding decor I have ever seen. There were cowhides, wooden logs, burlap, lace, mason jars, antique screens...

Why yes, that is an antique box spring hanging from the ceiling with flowers and lights.

Favorite! Ancestors wedding photos! Love the old one that is unframed!

These log centerpieces were actually hand cut by the family. A friend of the family had a down tree and away they went! How cool is that?

Another wonderful detail! These were Holly's grandmothers' wedding dresses.

The head table was served their dinner on a hodge-podge of antique dinnerware.

Just as the sun was setting, we stole the couple for some portrait time... our favorite time of the wedding day!

The couple's romantic first dance opened up the dance floor....

... and then the guests danced the night away!

Holly and Todd, you had an exquisite event. We are blessed by your friendship and have enjoyed every minute of getting to know you better. We can't wait to see where life takes you both as you live out your happily ever after together!

Lauren and Braden's Wedding

May 31, 2012 / Weddings

Wow! Where do we even begin with this amazing couple! Lauren and Braden are two of the nicest, most down-to-earth, and friendly couples we've ever had the joy of working with. They had a beautiful wedding day from start to finish!

Just look how happy Lauren was!

These flowers were gorgeous!

I've said it before and I'll say it again... I'm a sucker for bridesmaid dresses with pockets.

Lauren's sister Joan gave the official 'best prayer ever' before they all walked down the aisle. Not a dry eye in the room!

Braden = beaming!

Lots of tears watching the father/daughter dance!

This is where the night went from already amazing to spectacular for us! Lauren and Braden let us have them outside right at sunset for a little portrait session! The light was some of the prettiest I've seen, and they were working it!

Favorite! Movie stars!

Of course, there was laughing!

Back to the reception we went and the dancing got serious!

Braden even performed a few special dance moves for his mom!

Lauren and Braden, we've had an incredible time with you guys and your wonderful families! We're truly sad that your wedding has came and went already! Can we do this with you every year? Seriously guys, we think you're an amazing couple and wish you nothing but a perfect 'happily ever after.' Thank you for letting us be there for your exquisite event!

Happy Anniversary!

May 22, 2012 / Weddings

We have two great couples who celebrated their 1 year anniversaries last week!

Meagen and Jay were married on May 19, 2011 at Agave Road. This was our first wedding out at Agave Road and we had a wonderful day with these two!

The very next day, Hermes and Lindsay were married (May 20, 2011) at The Richmond House. This photo of them is still one of our absolute favorite 'leave' photos and hangs in our office on a huge canvas!

Congratulations to both of these amazing couples! Its hard to believe it was a year ago that we were celebrating your big days! Here's to many more years of happiness!
