Hi there! We're Luke and Cat, and we're so happy you're here. We hope you'll stay a while! We’re a husband and wife wedding photographer team based in Houston, Texas. Ranchers-turned-photographers, our world looks like this: a Craftsman-style farmhouse; our newborn, Knox, in our arms; coffee in the kitchen; Edison lights on the back porch; and a pair of English bulldogs at the foot of our bed. Morgan's Bridals

Feb 26, 2013 / Bridals
This past weekend we shot our first wedding of the year and this beautiful lady was the bride! We met up with Morgan at her family's gorgeous ranch and took all of the photos there on the estate.

This picture was our favorite and it was also their choice for the huge portrait at the reception. This was taken as Morgan came down the stairs in her parents home. Aside from the gorgeous bride, I love the custom painted mural in the background of their dining room.

Morgan, you are so lovely. We had a wonderful time with you and your family that day! My only regret is that after seeing your mother's outstanding chicken coop, it has only ignited Luke's quest for his own chicken coop. Aside from that, the day was perfect :)

Meg's Bridals

Nov 23, 2012 / Bridals
The day of Meg's bridals, we kept checking the weather. It looked cloudy, but the forecast kept saying no rain.

As Meg finished her hair and makeup appointments, she and her mom loaded in the car and headed towards our house. She texted me and said it was raining on them while they were driving, but they were coming anyway.

As the clouds rolled in, we started racking our brains on what we could do for Meg. A lightbulb went off and an idea was put into motion. You see, months ago when we installed the hardwood floors and carefully selected the perfect shade of grey (Benjamin Moore Elephant Skin, by the way) for the walls, we had this long-term vision of one day shooting some editorial style bridals in our house. We had even went as far as to pick our model and start thinking about the feasibility of how this could happen.

As the rain made its way to our town and splashed loudly on our roof, I saw Meg and her mom pull in our driveway. We were ready for her. I ran outside with a giant umbrella and hurriedly brought her and her mom in, explaining that the rain was here to stay, but we had an idea if they were game.

The results were something we have been waiting to share. We are proud to bring you Meg's bridal portraits, shot in our home on a rainy day. Enjoy!
