Hi there! We're Luke and Cat, and we're so happy you're here. We hope you'll stay a while! We’re a husband and wife wedding photographer team based in Houston, Texas. Ranchers-turned-photographers, our world looks like this: a Craftsman-style farmhouse; our newborn, Knox, in our arms; coffee in the kitchen; Edison lights on the back porch; and a pair of English bulldogs at the foot of our bed. Sarah and Zach

Sep 25, 2014 / Engagements

Sarah and Zach were our first engagement shoot of the fall and can we just say, if everyone is as great to photograph as they are, we'll be spoiled rotten by the end of the year. They will be married next spring at one of our favorite Houston wedding venues, The Gallery, and based off of what Sarah told us about their wedding so far, it's going to be spectacular. Speaking of spectacular, how sharp do these two look in what has to be one of our favorite his/her engagement outfits ever!

Wharton, Texas Ranch Wedding :: Sarah and Andrew

Feb 12, 2014 / Weddings
Sarah and Andrew were married in their hometown of Wharton, Texas. You may remember from their engagement session, their family owns a beautiful estate that served as the venue for getting ready and for their portraits, and it is such a sight to behold. Their day was truly lovely and we are so glad to have been a part of it!

Sarah and Andrew wanted to be able to take a picture of their entire wedding party together without seeing one another. This was so much fun.

After the wedding we headed back to their ranch for their portraits.

Sarah and Andrew, we had a wonderful time getting to know you both over the past year. Without a doubt, I know you will have a beautiful marriage, as you truly are a perfect match!

Sarah at Pierce Ranch

Oct 16, 2013 / Bridals
This past weekend we had the pleasure of photographing Sarah and Andrew's wedding, so we can finally share the lovely Mrs. Armour's bridal portraits!

Over the past year, we've gotten to go out to the historic Pierce Ranch many times to meet with and visit Sarah and Andrew. If you are a blog follower, you'll remember that we photographed their fishing-themed styled engagement session this past spring, which was featured on the national blog, The Wedding Chicks.

It's only fitting that we went back to their ranch for this bridal shoot. As we drove down the tree-lined driveway and arrived at the main house on the ranch, The Live Oak House, we were greeted by the lovely trio of ladies that accompanied Sarah (her mother, her future mother-in-law, and her grandmother.) We had a fun evening together, and of course, had a beautiful bride to photograph!

I love this one of Sarah laughing. As I was selecting the photographs to feature on the blog, I wanted to show this one because it reminds me of what a sweet and down-to-earth person that Sarah is. I feel corny saying it, but everyone loves you!

This picture (with another ranch home, called The Ranch House, in the background) is the one that Sarah selected as her portrait to display at the reception.

At the end of the shoot, as a special treat for Andrew and a nod to their engagement shoot, Sarah wanted to take a few pictures by the lake.

You won't see too many silhouette photos from us, but we're suckers for this one of Sarah. For some reason, it reminds me of Gone With The Wind. So southern!
