Hi there! We're Luke and Cat, and we're so happy you're here. We hope you'll stay a while! We’re a husband and wife wedding photographer team based in Houston, Texas. Ranchers-turned-photographers, our world looks like this: a Craftsman-style farmhouse; our newborn, Knox, in our arms; coffee in the kitchen; Edison lights on the back porch; and a pair of English bulldogs at the foot of our bed. Cheyenne, Wyoming Wedding :: Kassi and Ian

Nov 5, 2013 / Weddings
I got to spend my 30th birthday on a fun adventure in Cheyenne, Wyoming for Kassi and Ian's wedding. I have to say that in all of the weddings we have photographed, this one has a very special place for me as it is definitely style-wise right up my alley. Like Kassi, I grew up showing cattle, but when Luke and I got married, we didn't know how to incorporate that part of our life into our wedding day in a polished way. I can honestly say that Kassi's wedding and the exquisite way it was styled by Embellish Productions makes it my 'dream wedding.'

There were little touches throughout the day that were nods to their ranching past in subdued ways. They chose to make their wedding-day getting ready preparations at the historic Western-treasure, The Plains Hotel. Kassi quietly changed out of her designer turquoise heels into cowboy boots at the reception. Instead of renting vessels for all of the flowers, the used found milk vases right alongside their pewter vintage cattle show trophies from the 1980s. Vintage cattle trophies greeted guests as they walked in at the sign in table and grabbed their succulent favors. The head table had a handmade (by Ian) wooden box, fire-branded with their cattle brands. And finally, we took to the famous Cheyenne Frontier Days arena for some of their portraits. This wedding was ranch-chic at the finest.
