Hi there! We're Luke and Cat, and we're so happy you're here. We hope you'll stay a while! We’re a husband and wife wedding photographer team based in Houston, Texas. Ranchers-turned-photographers, our world looks like this: a Craftsman-style farmhouse; our newborn, Knox, in our arms; coffee in the kitchen; Edison lights on the back porch; and a pair of English bulldogs at the foot of our bed. Autumn Ranch Wedding Editorial at the Life & Craft Workshop

From the beginning of our dream for the Life & Craft Workshop, we knew we wanted to culminate our time together with a very special styled shoot on the ranch. We collaborated with the lovely ladies of Two Be Wed, who put together a truly breathtaking shoot.

We're storytellers by nature, and Two Be Wed came up with quite a story for the inspiration behind this editorial:

A young man, born into one of the old money families of the East Coast, weds the free-spirited daughter of a rancher out West. Drawing inspiration from both the ruggedness of ranch land and the opulence of the historic East Coast, with a nod to Mr. Ralph Lauren’s ranch, this shoot is the perfect blend of elegant and rugged. Graceful flower arrangements and mixed metallics pay tribute to the sophistication of the East Coast, while a deep color palette and touches of leather keep the style elegantly masculine.

Olde Dobbin Station Wedding: Amanda and Remy

Oct 6, 2015 / Weddings

Amanda and Remy were married at one of Houston's most unique wedding venues, the lovely Olde Dobbin Station. The lavender and grey details were the perfect mix with the industrial decor around ODS. Friends and family packed the house for these two lovebirds, who are such a blessing to everyone who gets to know them, including us! We're also excited that to share the gorgeous wedding film by Monroe Productions, another way to check out the excitement and happiness of their day!

Lavender Blooms & Clocks Galore,

Life & Craft Workshop Engagement Session

We headed out with our Life & Craft Workshop attendees at golden hour for a glam engagement session on the ranch. So much of the workshop experience that we wanted to create for our community was showing them what a day in our life looks like. While most of our engagement sessions don't include gorgeous lounge furniture or a bouquet worthy of a pin on even the most discerning Pinterest board, this shoot was still a great representation of how our actual clients get to interact with us on a shoot, how we pose (or more accurately, don't pose) our couples, and how we tell a story with the images we take.

We had another fantastic team of Houston creatives come together for this shoot, including our sweet models Kellan and Michelle Caldwell. Aside from being our friends, Michelle is an exquisite photographer here in Houston too. Community over competition, y'all!

If you're interested in joining us for a future Life and Craft Workshop, sign up to be notified when we announce our next workshop at the ranch.

Life & Craft, (We're planning the next one!)

Luke & Cat
