Hi there! We're Luke and Cat, and we're so happy you're here. We hope you'll stay a while! We’re a husband and wife wedding photographer team based in Houston, Texas. Ranchers-turned-photographers, our world looks like this: a Craftsman-style farmhouse; our newborn, Knox, in our arms; coffee in the kitchen; Edison lights on the back porch; and a pair of English bulldogs at the foot of our bed. Alex's Bridals at Chateau Cocomar

Dec 16, 2013 / Bridals
Alex and Maury are married, which means we can share the photos from our bridal shoot with her. For this shoot, we ventured to one of our favorite Houston wedding venues, Chateau Cocomar. It was a rainy day, but that didn't bother us one bit since we had this incredible treasure of a venue to shoot in!

Favorite! Favorite! Favorite!

The next two photos are the ones that Alex had displayed at her and Maury's wedding.

Alex and Maury were married in a beautiful winter themed wedding. We can't wait to share their wedding images with you soon!

Sarah at Pierce Ranch

Oct 16, 2013 / Bridals
This past weekend we had the pleasure of photographing Sarah and Andrew's wedding, so we can finally share the lovely Mrs. Armour's bridal portraits!

Over the past year, we've gotten to go out to the historic Pierce Ranch many times to meet with and visit Sarah and Andrew. If you are a blog follower, you'll remember that we photographed their fishing-themed styled engagement session this past spring, which was featured on the national blog, The Wedding Chicks.

It's only fitting that we went back to their ranch for this bridal shoot. As we drove down the tree-lined driveway and arrived at the main house on the ranch, The Live Oak House, we were greeted by the lovely trio of ladies that accompanied Sarah (her mother, her future mother-in-law, and her grandmother.) We had a fun evening together, and of course, had a beautiful bride to photograph!

I love this one of Sarah laughing. As I was selecting the photographs to feature on the blog, I wanted to show this one because it reminds me of what a sweet and down-to-earth person that Sarah is. I feel corny saying it, but everyone loves you!

This picture (with another ranch home, called The Ranch House, in the background) is the one that Sarah selected as her portrait to display at the reception.

At the end of the shoot, as a special treat for Andrew and a nod to their engagement shoot, Sarah wanted to take a few pictures by the lake.

You won't see too many silhouette photos from us, but we're suckers for this one of Sarah. For some reason, it reminds me of Gone With The Wind. So southern!

Megan's Bridals :: Film

Mar 12, 2013 / Bridals, Film
Now that Megan and James' wedding has came and went, it's time for you to oooh-and-aaaah over how beautiful of a bride Megan was.

We had an incredible time with Megan and her tagalongs (her aunt and her mother-in-law) shooting her bridals. The images we're showing today were all shot on film, which was so much fun. Megan, you are beautiful!
