Hi there! We're Luke and Cat, and we're so happy you're here. We hope you'll stay a while! We’re a husband and wife wedding photographer team based in Houston, Texas. Tara and David :: Engagement

Apr 30, 2012 / Engagements
We were so excited for Tara and David's e-session! We'd only talked to them on the phone and via e-mail, and we were soooo ready to finally get to them them and hang out! Turns out, we have lots of things in common so there weren't any dull moments during our evening together. We *might* have spent a lot of time talking about Harry Potter - because we both love it. There also *might* be a picture floating around of Tara and David holding wands (or sticks) that was photoshopped to look like they were actually performing spells. Hey, what can we say... we had a great time!

They also brought props! Notice the balloons match the cute little balloon tattoo on Tara's foot! By the way, don't they look cool here!?

Two happy people!

Tara and David, we had an excellent time with you! We can't wait for your wedding at 7F Lodge! :) You were so fun!

Lacey and Edwin's Agave Road Wedding

Apr 8, 2012 / Weddings

Lacey and Edwin had a gorgeous springtime wedding at the beautiful Katy venue, Agave Road! This couple has exquisite taste and there was no detail that wasn’t a perfect fit for their day!

Lacey has a fabulous eye and had sooo many to-die-for choices for their day. Starting with these fab shoes. Seriously? The white peacock feathers were a hit!

Always fun to find a place for a ring shot at Agave Road! We might have ripped a little stem off of one of those pokey-end plants.

Here it is - the beautiful Agave Road!

Happy bride!

Lacey was stunning! Her dress, hair, makeup, jewelry... the whole combo. She was truly a knockout that day!

Love love love their flower choices!

Now... for the bridal portraits!

...And Edwin was a happy groom, too!

Lacey and Edwin were married right after sunset at Agave Road's beautiful outdoor ceremony location. Every corner was decked out with beautiful floral elements, those super-fun peacock feathers, and, what else... candles. As the sun started to descend, the candles provided the perfect mood lighting.

Right after the sun went down, Lacey and Edwin recited their vows, promising their lives to one another, with big smiles on their faces.

Love this glamourous couple! Right after the ceremony we had some alone time with them, and they were so happy to be married!

Reception time! I'm a sucker for a good toast, and Lacey and Edwin's friends knocked it out of the park!

Another wonderful cake creation. This cake was a show stopper! Love the peacock feather details, AND that fancy schmancy gold peacock on the bottom tier.

Edwin's face says... "Yep, she got me."

And then it was party time! The dance floor was open and the party was hoppin!

This group knew how to bust a move on the dance floor!

Love... love... love these next two photos. Lacey and Edwin are such a tender couple.

As the evening drew to a close, Lacey and Edwin's friends and family lined up outside of Agave Road with streamers to wish them well as they embark on their journey as man and wife. So many well-wishers - this shows you how special this couple is to so many people.

Their car awaited... they left in a magnificent Rolls Royce, headed to the airport and off to Seychelles for their honeymoon!

Lacey and Edwin, your day has came and gone, but we are so glad to have met you and photographed you during this exciting time! We know you will have a wonderful life together filled with so many exciting journeys! We wish you a long life of happiness and love!

Travis and Christina's Briscoe Manor Wedding

Apr 6, 2012 / Weddings

On a gorgeous March day at a very special venue, Christina and Travis were married! Briscoe Manor is a lovely private estate located just outside the Houston hustle-and-bustle, in Katy.

It's a very special place to us because that's where WE got married! When we first met Christina and Travis and heard about their wedding day plans, we were so so excited to get back to Briscoe and photograph there!

A fun fact: The Briscoe Manor crew owns their own herd of Texas Longhorns. As you drive down the driveway to Briscoe, these majestic symbols of our proud state roam on both sides of the road.

One of our favorite things that we liked about Briscoe Manor when we chose to get married there was the fun grooms room. So often people focus on the bridal suite (which is important, too) but the grooms room should be fun too! The guys were having a blast hanging out before they had to walk down the aisle.

Travis was all smiles for this big day!

Christina and Travis chose to do a 'first sight' for their wedding day, meaning they saw one another before the wedding. We love this because it allows us to get sooo many great photos of them before the ceremony, and not be rushed for time to get to the reception! The first sight was their idea and we are so thankful they valued photography so much to plan their timeline around when they could get the most pictures! How excited does Travis look to see his bride?!

Happy men!

What a gorgeous and fun bridal party they had! Everyone had such a great sense of humor! They all spent all their time before the wedding cutting up and laughing.

As the sun started to descend, the guests gathered outside at Balke's Lakeside, Briscoe's outdoor ceremony location. It was decorated beautifully for the event!

While the guests gathered, there were some last minute preparations going on with the bridesmaids....

....and some sentimental moments with the bride and her mother. Ah..... tear.

"It's time to go!"

The sunset was perfectly timed for the ceremony!

They had a great service, filled with laughs! Love their preacher's face!

After the ceremony, the guests spent some time in the courtyard for cocktail hour and hand-passed appetizers.

During that time, it gave us even MORE opportunities for bride-and-groom photos as the sun went down!

This is the mother and father of the bride, giving a beautiful toast with pointers for a long and happy life together. It was such a touching moment!

The father daughter dance was awesome! It started out just like any other father daughter dance... but then...

These guys started to bust a move! :)

And then the rest of the guests followed their lead and danced the night away, too!

Christina and Travis, you had such an awesome wedding! We're so glad that you invited us to be there for your big day! You were a joy to work with throughout this process and we know you'll have a long and happy life together!
