New Blog!
We are so excited that we can finally share the final piece of our new branding with you - our brand new blog design!
We first started working on our new branding late last summer, and we knew that because of the people we wanted to work with (Brent Holloman for our branding, Infinet Design for our blog) it would be a long road. Both of these guys are in high demand and to get on their project list involves a long wait. That being said, we knew it would be worth it!
I believe our waiting list for our blog was somewhere around 6 months. You might have noticed, we were using the domain lukeandcatsblog.com already, but we were just having that forward to our old blog until our new one was ready. It's finally here, and we wanted to give you a quick tour of what's new in our blog!
First - the incredible design! We have to thank the uber talented Dave from Infinet Design for coming up with a creative, personal, and professional design for our blog - the first time we saw it, we were so excited! He built on the design elements that Brent Holloman did for our branding, but used his own creative spin on it. We feel like it is absolutely exactly what we didn't know we were looking for! :)
All of the props for the other new things must go to Brock - the technical guy at Infinet. We have new features under each photo that you might notice, like "Vote As Favorite" where you can click and say that is your favorite. If enough people select the same photos, that photo will get a little icon in the top left corner that says, "Viewer Favorite." How cool is that! You do all of this with one click!
Another neat feature they incorporated is the Pinning feature under each picture. Soooo if you're looking through a blog post and LOVE a particular detail from one of our bride and grooms' wedding - you can pin that right there! A good one to start with would be those cool peacock wrist corsages from Molly and Cody's wedding right below! How great were they!
We also have an easier comment system (at the end of each post) and a way to share posts on facebook there, too.
Finally - don't forget to notice our "Random Fun Fact" in the footer of each post. These are sure to make you smile!
Again, we can't thank the talented team at Infinet Design enough. It's been an incredibly fun journey with them to completion! If you're a photographer looking for a completely custom blog design - we can't recommend them enough!
