When photographing our engaged couples, our ultimate goal is to capture their love for one another, while also keeping it timeless and romantic. We tell our couples to dress in their best and to stick to one outfit that they love. But deciding on an outfit that you feel your best in can be tough. Ladies, a dress layered with the perfect accessories looks great. Guys, a fitted button down ties the whole look together nicely. You may even add a sports coat if you're up for it! So to give a little fashion inspiration, here are some of our favorite spring engagement outfits that looked and photographed beautifully, but also had our couples feeling confident. Although these two sessions had two different styles as far as outfits, we loved the color pallets they chose. 

Chloe's floral dress paired well with Ryan's Polo button down. The soft pinks and blues in her dress couldn't have looked better against the beautiful ranch background. Her dress was from Rent The Runway. If you like this dress, here is a similar style that would work well for photos. 

Florals are our friend. Erin's long, flowy, floral dress kept it simple and classy. What made it picture perfect were the pastels in the floral design. If you like this dress, here is a similar style that would work well for photos.

We were so excited for Jana and Troy's wedding at Beneath The Oaks! After having them in front of our cameras for the first time during their engagement session and then again for Jana's bridal session, we knew photographing them was a dream. Lean In Close

Replicating this casual-but-cuddly shot of the bridal party might feel awkward for your brides, but it looks great! Today’s Weekend Snapshot tip is get those girls to lean in!

Ask the bridesmaids to hold their bouquets straight down and lean in as close to each other as possible. The girls on the each end are always nervous that their rear ends are sticking out, but we just tell them, “Feels awkward, looks great!” And the resulting giggles lead to some great photos.
