Hello... from San Antonio!
May 11, 2012 / Our Life
I'm blogging from the comfort of my favorite hotel in Texas - the Marriott Rivercenter in San Antonio! We're visiting one of my favorite Texas cities as we are here to photograph Priscilla and Chip's wedding tomorrow. At the moment, I'm typing from the light of the tiniest lamp, from the 24th floor, while Luke is taking a nap and resting up for the big day tomorrow.
Several years ago, back when were were just dating, Luke and I came to San Antonio for one our first-ever vacations together. This was back when were were doing the long-distance thing, and Luke had flown to Texas to spend spring break with me.

Here we are long ago, Typical Texan style in front of the Alamo!

As we were driving into the city today, I had a deja vu moment. As we turned off the interstate to get to our hotel, I can remember just like it was yesterday, the last time I was pulling into this hotel. At that time, Luke (first time visitor to ol' San Antone') was snapping a million pictures like a typical tourist, on my point and shoot camera I had thrown in my purse. I had grabbed the camera to make sure we took some photos while we were on vacation, and to make sure I had a new Facebook picture of us. Oh, the important things.
Funny how things go. Here we are, 5 years later, and we're in this same town, and we'll be taking pictures, but in much different circumstances. We are blessed and have had the most incredible journey thus far.
Feeling very thankful today! Have a fabulous weekend!
