Kacie and Jonathan :: The Prairie at Round Top
Dec 24, 2012 / Weddings
It's a Shabby Chic Christmas wedding, y'all!
And what better wedding for us to get to show you right before the big day! We've been dying to show you this gem for a little while now, but we had to wait until Ruffled made the big reveal over on their blog when they featured it. We couldn't be more excited for Kacie and Jonathan that their day turned out so spectacular.Kacie chose the adorable Round Top (any antique fans know exactly where that little town is) venue, The Prairie by Rachel Ashwell. This is a relatively new wedding venue and we loved it! It was the perfect place for Kacie and Jonathan's wedding, that's for sure! If you don't know who Rachel Ashwell is, get ready. She is *the* Shabby Chic queen. I am pretty sure she might have invented Shabby Chic, if that's even something you invent. This venue has sooo many amazing photography places - from homes stuffed with gorgeous antiques, to fruit trees, to open prairies and pastures. It's a photographers dream!
The dress.... the dress! How about that! When I first saw this to-die-for, custom made, pink ombre wedding gown I just about passed out. It was one of the first details I saw for the wedding and I knew it was going to be an amazing, fun, and spunky day as soon as I laid eyes on it.
Hey, even on your wedding day, you're never to busy to jump on the bed with a buddy.
How much do you love the deer with flowers on it's head?
Sometimes things just happen and you stumble upon something great. For this picture below, which is one of our all time faves now, Luke happened to be shooting through a tree that had some Christmas lights on it. When he first looked at the image on the back of his camera, he didn't realize that tree HAD those lights in it, and he thought his camera was dying. Turns out... it was fate! And we love it!
If this picture isn't a great "and-they-lived-happily-ever-after" picture... I just don't know what is. :)
As they entered the reception, the guests lined up and tossed fake snow onto the newlyweds.
The reception decor was just amazing. I asked Kacie what she would say the theme was... my best guess was Pink Christmas. But it really is Shabby Chic Pink Christmas, I think. Either way, it was cozy, comfortable, and FUN!
All the flowers were DIY by the bride: hand dyed COFFEE FILTERS! How creative!
The perfect fairy tale ending, for sure! Or beginning, right? :)
Kacie and Jonathan, we couldn't love your wedding anymore than we already do! Thank you for letting us be there for you guys!
There's more to see! This wedding was featured on the amazing (one of our bucket-list blogs, by the way) blog, Ruffled. We'd be tickled pink if you headed over and gave it a look!
