Hi there! We're Luke and Cat, and we're so happy you're here. We hope you'll stay a while! We’re a husband and wife wedding photographer team based in Houston, Texas. Ranchers-turned-photographers, our world looks like this: a Craftsman-style farmhouse; our newborn, Knox, in our arms; coffee in the kitchen; Edison lights on the back porch; and a pair of English bulldogs at the foot of our bed. Our Herb Garden

May 21, 2013 / Our Life, Film

For quite awhile, I have wanted to have an herb garden. Since I (Luke) do most of the

savory cooking around this place, I had dreams of walking to my own herb garden and snipping off a few springs of what I needed.

The tricky thing was, I didn't have any clue about what type of herbs I needed. After doing a little research, mainly asking our local nursery what I should get, we settled on sweet basil, cilantro, mint, orange mint, and dill.

We love using our herbs so much, that our plants look like the cows just grazed over them, the cilantro especially. Our favorite things to make have been lemon dill fish, taco soup, any sort of pesto dish, and to wash it all down, a nice glass of sun tea sweetened with a mint simple syrup!

If you have your own herb garden, we would love to hear your favorites, and maybe we can add to our selection!

We love our backyard. :: Our film adventure.

May 9, 2013 / Our Life, Film
One of our favorite things to do every evening is go sit outside on our deck while the bulldogs lay around and play in the backyard. The weather has been so nice this spring, and our deck and backyard is the perfect place to sit outside and relax.

A few weeks ago we brought out a quilt and spread it in the grass so that we could all hang out together (and us humans not get bit by chiggers!) We had our film camera out with us and took a few pictures that we love. One of our favorite film photographers preaches that the best way to hone your craft is to shoot your personal life. We've been taking his advice and making sure to photograph a few images of our every day life.

We treasure these!

That's Hudson's favorite toy in the whole word. He chews on it all the time. We have about 10 of these so that when he gets tired of one he can have another.

Wilma's dainty crossed chicken legs.

This is Cheeto - our resident bulldog that lives in the flowerbed.

The best bone holder in the whole wide world!

Payton and Sam on Film

Apr 16, 2013 / Engagements, Film

You probably remember this photography couple from a few weeks ago. We finally got their film scans back and had to put them up on the blog one more time.
